Churches and Non-Profits

Solarizing Your Organization

Solar Solution has helped hundreds of mission-driven organizations install solar panel systems. We partner with faith-based organizations like churches, congregations, synagogues, temples, and mosques, and a variety of non-profits too.

We work to make sure that your organization can take full advantage of all of the available federal and local funding and incentives.

The National Museum of African American History and Culture

Solar Solution teamed up with the Smithsonian Institute and other local contractors to install solar on the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Boasting a nearly-100kW solar array, The NMAAHC is the first Smithsonian museum to have solar panels and serves as a model for sustainability and environmental stewardship.

In 2012, we were thrilled to help the forward-thinking environmental non-profit Casey Trees further their mission by deciding to go solar. This local group works to restore, enhance, and protect the tree canopy of the DC region.

The DC Christian Reformed Church

When church member Heidi Vanderwerff helped her congregation go solar in 2024 , she mentioned several reasons why the they made their decision: “It is an investment in the property, a commitment to creation care, and shows we are forward thinking in terms of being present in the Lamond Riggs neighborhood for many years to come. And of course, the electrical savings on a big building is a bonus.”
